It’s been a year since H.R. 1 (aka the Big Very NOT Beautiful Bill) took effect. Join your MACC Network for an in person briefing with leading healthcare policy expert Matt Burdick and Momentum Advocacy on the status of HR 1 implementation now.
This session will help us understand the funding uncertainty impacting our organizations in the next 2 years to support your scenario planning and financial modeling. You’ll also learn about the impacts of funding and policy changes on the social programs that are critical for the communities you serve. Matt will unpack the current state of Minnesota Medicaid this Fall including work reporting requirements, as well as other federal initiatives impacting Minnesota Health Care programs. Get the information you need to plan for the next two years.

Matt Burdick, Strategic Partner, Momentum Advocacy
Matt Burdick brings over 15 years of experience working in and around Minnesota State Government as well as a deep knowledge of Minnesota’s health and human services processes, systems, and infrastructure. Most recently, Matt served as the Director of State Government Relations at the Minnesota Department of Human Services where he was a strategic advisor to the Department’s executive leadership. In that role, Matt was responsible for shaping the agency’s relationships with legislators and external partners to develop and implement state policy that was responsive to the needs of Minnesotans. He previously served as a Policy Advisor to Governor Tim Walz and Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan on Health, Health Insurance, Human Services, and Homelessness.
