PANEL DISCUSSION: PAY & PEOPLE JUSTICE: OUR NONPROFIT WORKFORCE
Join national thought leaders Sean Thomas-Breitfeld from Building Movement Project, Michelle Jackson from Human Service Council of New York, and Rusty Stahl from Fund the People for a dynamic panel on how we can build a movement to fund our work and get pay and people justice for our nonprofit workforce. We're combating the fundamental devaluing of the people nonprofits were created to help, the work nonprofits do, and the people doing that work. Government and philanthropy refuse to pay the full costs of what it takes to do the work - in short, they don't fund our people. We'll explore what's being done and how we can use collaboration and solidarity to break free of this entrenched cycle of devaluation and exploitation. Lissa Jones, highly sought after speaker, facilitator and culture and inclusion coach (and podcast host, and radio producer!) will facilitate.

WORKSHOP: HIRING REVOLUTION: DISRUPTING RACISM & SEXISM IN HIRING
Organizations are facing unprecedented hiring and retention challenges and the imperative for integrating diversity, inclusion, and equity across teams and organizations continues to grow. What if the solution to the one challenge, was also a way to achieve the other? Alfonso Wenker and Trina C. Olson, co-authors of Hiring Revolution and co-founders of Team Dynamics will lead a workshop on how we can use the principles and best practices of DEI to address persistent staffing shortages. They'll explore creative and expansive ways to imagine and approach finding a diverse pool of top talent. Diverse teams don't just happen. They'll help us ensure our hiring intent lines up with our hiring impact so that we can attract and retain the people that will make our workforce and workplaces stronger.

WORKSHOP: RADICAL SELF CARE AND HEALING IN UNCERTAIN TIMES
Dr. Joi will see you now. As we head into year 3 of an unprecedented global pandemic everyone is raw. This goes way deeper than burnout and we need solutions that go beyond a bubble bath. Dr. Joi Lewis's session is a gift of time and space for us to take a big deep breath together in community and interrupt the effects of toxic stress and trauma. We will explore the four simple practices of the Orange Method of Healing Justice (Radical Self-Care + Social Justice): Meditation(Get Grounded), Mindfulness(Get Present), Emotional liberation(Get Free) and conscious Movement(Get Unstuck). Dr. Joi is an unapologetic joy instigator - you WILL feel better after this session. Your body, your mind, your heart will all feel better. The practices we learn in this session are meant to be carried forward - into our workplaces, communities, families - to help heal others.

WORKSHOP: BUILDING RESILIENT CHANGE BY OWNING YOUR UNIQUE ROLE IN THE CHANGE ECOSYSTEM
You can’t do it all. And you certainly can't do it all alone. How do we build capacity to deal with crisis and conflict? How do we build strength during overlapping crises? One key to building resilience as an organization or individual working for social change is understanding where your strengths and values align with the roles you play in the community and developing the skills to support our ecosystems. The creator of the Social Change Ecosystem Map, Deepa Iyer (Building Movement Project), will lead us on a path to help understand the characteristics of resilient, robust social change. This work can especially be helpful to re-align ourselves when we feel lost, confused, and uncertain during these challenging times, and to anchor ourselves in our individual and organizational roles.
