KEYNOTE: UNICORNS UNITE TO END THE NONPROFIT HUNGER GAMES
We cannot address racial inequality and systemic injustice on pennies. Vu Le from Nonprofit AF will use humor to help us get honest about our sector's messed up funding model, how we've maybe been complacent about it, and what we can do to change it. We need to our work to be fully funded, and we need to fully fund the people doing the work. Our work is too important to put up with BS anymore. Nonprofits are operating at warp speed to address skyrocketing community needs even as our funding stretches thinner and thinner - and no one is stepping up to close the funding gap. Having these conversations with funders is hard. Humor helps. So does having a network, and a community of nonprofits to take on this work together! One Nonprofit Jedi Unicorn is a miracle - thousands is an unstoppable force of pure awesomeness.

PANEL DISCUSSION: THE HARD CONVERSATIONS WE NEED TO HAVE TO GET OUR WORK FULLY FUNDED
Hear from leaders from across the country who are working in real time to shift the narrative with their local funders. They're building the momentum and muscles needed to have the hard conversations that lead to real progress! One conversation at a time nonprofits and funders are coming together to build a shared understanding of the real resources it will take to drive the outcomes we all want to see for our communities. We need a new language for talking about what it actually costs to do our work. These aren't easy conversations so get the benefit of learning from folks who are already having them.

WORKSHOP: CONFRONTING COMPLACENCY: SHIFTING TO RADICAL ACTION AND ACCOUNTABILITY
IN PERSON at The Market at Malcolm Yards!!!!
Our first official in-person event in 3 years!!! Join Ashley Oolman (Founder, Allied Folk) as we pivot from the past two years of racial reckoning, into disruptive, sustainable, and targeted DEI work. Change agents will be led through a fast paced and interactive session that illuminates the ways status quo is upheld on the clock. Confronting Complacency will uncover three common areas of DEI barriers, (risk aversion, bystanderism, and reactivity) and offer alternative strategies and tools for uprooting destructive and harmful patterns in leadership and organizational culture. Together, we will confront and elevate our collective responsibility of taking an active role in next generation equity.
Cost: $45
Location: The Market at Malcolm Yards
Time: 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm session followed by a 30 minute social reception with complimentary food and drinks

KEYNOTE: RESILIENCE IS THE WRONG WORD - FROM RESILIENCE TO COMMUNITY RESISTANCE
People are tired, overwhelmed, and burnt out from everything they've had to endure. Yet, focusing too much on resilience can reduce us to our individual ability to endure hardship. We can resist by leaning into our emotions - our anger, frustration, or sadness - and using them to fuel us, and connect us with others to fight back. Dr. Lourdes Dolores Follins will help us see how community care, solidarity, and networked approaches can help us resist the entrenched, systemic challenges that require us to be resilient in the first place. We'll explore ways to lean into community care and support each other as we work to change the situation - instead of changing ourselves to fit the situation.
